hOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The amount of time a restoration can last varies from vehicle to vehicle depending on the weather it's exposed to, the material the lens is made of, and how many miles the vehicle is driven. While some people can see the results as long as they own the vehicle, in more extreme conditions, the restoration will last around a year.

Do I need any tools or a drill?

No. This is a hand-application system. You’ll just want a water spray bottle and masking tape (recommended) to make the process easier and safer around paint.

Will this work on really yellow, cloudy, or hazy headlights?

Yes. The kit is designed to remove oxidation and haze through a 3-step process (oxidation remover, wet sanding, then ceramic coating). If your lenses are extremely oxidized, take your time on the sanding steps for best results.

Is it safe for my paint and trim around the headlights?

It’s safe when used as directed. We strongly recommend masking/taping off the areas surrounding the headlight before sanding. If any oxidation remover or coating gets on paint, wipe it off immediately.

How long does it take and when can I drive after?

Most vehicles take about 30 minutes total for both headlights. After wiping off the coating, you’re good to drive right away—just avoid getting the headlights wet for the best early cure (ideally keep them dry for the rest of the day if you can).

Application Instructions

Follow the steps below for best results. Work in the shade on a cool surface.

Note

It is recommended to use product in the shade. You will need a water spray bottle and some extra towels. We also recommend using masking tape to tape off areas around headlights.

Oxidation Remover

Make sure your headlights have been washed with our Luxe Car Shampoo, Super Foam Soap, or similar car soap. Rinse well (this removes dirt and debris).
After applying the provided application gloves, apply our Oxidation Remover to the provided microfiber towel.
Working in a circular, scrubbing motion, rub all areas of the headlight. This may discolor the towel (normal). Flip to a new, unsoiled side at least once per headlight, re-applying Oxidation Remover each time.

Important: Do not get any Oxidation Remover on your paint. If you do, wipe it off immediately. Headlights may still be oxidized and have “haze” after Step 1 — this is normal.

Wet Sand (P2000 → P3000)

Securely fasten the P2000 grit disc to your 3" foam applicator pad.
Using your water spray bottle, spray down and wet the entire headlight (also wet the grit disc).
Scrub the entire headlight for 2 minutes in a straight, non-circular motion. Keep the headlight wet during this whole process.
Upon completion, rinse the headlight well with water.
After 2 minutes with the P2000 grit disc, remove it and replace it with the P3000 grit disc and repeat the previous process. Once done, rinse the entire area well and completely dry the area with a clean towel (multiple towels may be needed).

Important: Tape off surrounding areas to prevent paint contact. For hard-to-reach areas: remove the grit disc and carefully shape it to fit, ensuring surrounding areas are unaffected. At the end of this step, headlights should have a “clouded” appearance.

Ceramic Headlight Coating

Using the ExoForma Ceramic Headlight Coating, apply a moderate amount to the ceramic applicator pad.
Wipe in a horizontal pattern (top to bottom), then a vertical (cross-hatch) pattern until the headlight has been completely coated.
Repeat this process on the other headlight.
Let the coating sit on each headlight for 2–3 minutes maximum. (Important: do this in the shade on a cool surface, otherwise it can affect cure time.)
Wipe off excess coating after 2–3 minutes on each headlight with a clean microfiber towel.

Important: Coating application will not work if the surface is not completely dry. Damage may occur with application to wet surfaces. If coating gets on paint, wipe off immediately.

Safety & Storage

Caution: Avoid breathing vapors and use in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat, sparks, flame, or hot surfaces. Wear protective eye/face/hand protection at all times. Do not get on skin or clothing.

First aid: If contact with skin, wash with soap and water. If contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly for 5 minutes; if symptoms develop, seek medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; rinse mouth and seek medical attention.

Storage: Do not store in vehicle. Store in a cool, dry location. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
